Dr. Dawn Field
Veterinarian, Practice Manager
Dr. Dawn Field completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University in 2009. Before that, she completed an associate’s degree. After three years of undergraduate education, Dr. Field no longer pursued a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science since she already got accepted into veterinary school upon completion of all prerequisites. In 2021, Dr. Dawn Field joined Camden Animal Hospital which allowed her to serve an area that had no veterinarian. She chose veterinary medicine initially to do mixed animal practice while in high school but it was her strong desire to help animals that ultimately led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Dawn Field dedicates her free time to a wide array of interests. Pastimes she enjoys with her family include kayaking, fishing, hunting, camping, and soon-to-be scuba diving. Dr. Field’s personal hobbies are arts and crafts, mainly drawing with a pencil and playing with other media. She shares her home with three fur babies. The oldest is Spot, who’s a Britany Spaniel that loves birds and is full of energy. Their middle baby is Waffles, who is a Great Dane that loves people but is also scared of her own shadow sometimes. She was relinquished from her last clinic after the owners were not able to afford her treatment when she was 7 months old. The baby of the bunch is Justin, who is a Yorkiepoo and is in full puppy mode.

Barbara
Veterinary Assistant, Animal Care Attendant, Kennel Assistant
Barbara officially became an important part of the Camden Animal Hospital family in 1996. What she enjoys most about her chosen path is lending doctors a hand to care for animals.
Away from work, she can be found in the comfort of her home, just relaxing. Her house is not a home without her three cats – Momma Kitty, Tiny, and Sugars. Momma Kitty was a stray cat that just turned up and made herself right at home. Tiny was a bottle baby that Barbara raised from day one and is now 8 years old. The newest addition to the family that constantly keeps them on their toes is Sugars.
